Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
classic chocolate chip cookies.

- Makes around 10 big cookies
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 125 g unsalted butter
- 100 g brown sugar
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar or extract
- 1 egg
- 225 g plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 100 g chopped chocolate

In a pot, add the butter (good butter good cookie) and place this over medium-low heat. Keep heating this, whiles stirring, until the butter becomes a light brown colour. Pour this butter into a large bowl and leave it to cool for 5 minutes.

Add in both sugars into this along with the vanilla. Whisk until combined, then add in the egg and whisk until combined too.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add this into the other bowl and mix until a dough forms.

Now mix in the chopped chocolate

I used an ice cream scoop to create cookie dough balls, you could also just use your hands. Makes around 10 big cookies

Put these onto a plate and leave them in the fridge for least 30 minutes.

Around 10 minutes before baking, pre-heat your oven to 180c

place them onto a large baking paper lined tray, making sure to leave a gap between them so they have room to spread.

Bake for 18 minutes

Once they’re baked, (sprinkle some flaky salt on top) optional

leave them to set for about 5 minutes and then enjoy!
